Shipping Policy

Shipping rates are listed in US dollars. House of A La Mode is located in the state of Oregon, which has no sales tax.
Note: As of January 2025, the Shop App charges state and local taxes on all applicable orders as it is a marketplace, not a storefront. Orders placed through our website will not include these taxes.

US Orders:
All packages are shipped via USPS, with the choice of Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. The actual shipping cost, as determined by the carrier, is calculated at checkout. Orders over $100 ship for free! You will receive a tracking number once your order has been processed and packaged.

International Orders: At this time, we are only able to ship domestically within the States.

Please follow your package's progress through the tracking number until delivery and contact the carrier directly if any issues arise.

Please note: Once packages are accepted by the carrier, House of A La Mode can not and does not assume any responsibility for lost, misplaced, or damaged items. We can not replace or issue a refund for any package that has been confirmed as delivered.

All orders are shipped to the address that is provided at checkout. If you wish to have your order sent to a different location, please let us know at the time of purchase or as soon as possible.

Delivery Time Estimates
Your order will ship within 1 to 5 business days. If you place an order on a Friday, Monday would be considered the first business day. House of A La Mode is located in the Pacific Northwest, and shipping times may vary due to the climate and wildfire season.

In-store Pick-Up
If you are local or in the area, we offer in-store pick-up at no cost.

Return/Exchange Policy

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. We hope you never have the need to, but if you would like to return or exchange a purchase, our service is friendly and hassle-free.

Online Orders
Please notify us with details about your order within 7 days of the delivery date and before sending it back. Yarn in its original (unwound) condition and packaging with no exposure to the elements, animals, smoke, or strong fragrances is eligible to be returned or exchanged. The purchaser is responsible for return shipping. Store credit or a full refund (minus the original shipping costs) will be issued upon safe arrival. Exchanging for a different product is always welcome – we are happy to work with you to find a suitable replacement!

If we make a mistake and send you the wrong order or items, please let us know ASAP and we will provide a self-addressed label to return the package. We will promptly ship your correct items or issue a refund if preferred.

Kits, bundles, discounted items, and needles are final sale and not eligible to be returned or exchanged.
