Einband is a fine yarn, ideal for shawls, light garments, and lace knitting. Einband can be knit using more than one strand of yarn, or add strength to one-ply Plötulopi by holding it together.

Garments made from Einband stretch and are therefore difficult to measure before they have been washed. It’s recommended to make a swatch, rinse it and block it and measure it when dry to find the exact gauge and needle size to achieve accurate measurements in the finished piece. After washing, the wool becomes soft and manageable.
